4 Ways This Bond Strengthens Our Community

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) is the backbone of our local workforce, providing essential job training and higher education opportunities. However, after 50 years without a bond measure, our facilities are outdated, and our growing community needs modern resources to thrive.

  • Expanding Career Education to Meet Local Community Needs

    • Modernized classrooms and labs to train thousands of skilled professionals in high-demand fields like healthcare and technology to go to work right here in our community.

  • Boosting Our Economy

    • MHCC graduates contribute over $350 million annually to our local economy.

    • Investing in workforce education means stronger businesses, more jobs, and a thriving region.

  • More Access for All

    • Upgrades to the community pool for year-round access to high demand classes and community events.  Did you know that last year over 26,000 residents took swim lessons at the MHCC pool?

    • Improved ADA accessibility and technology to better serve urban and rural learners.

  • Securing our Campus, Fixing Critical Building Systems

    • Modern lockdown capabilities, upgraded fire safety systems, and seismic retrofits.

    • Essential repairs to 50-year-old buildings, including updated electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
